And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.

OUR BLOG IS MOVING TO www.padgettadoption.com

God is incredible. As much as I am proud of my blog, my dear brother-in-law designed a website just for us! This will have links to all of the ways that our family and friends can help us. Joelle's Cup of Mercy coffee page will be opening up soon, and for all of our adoption buddies, we will be selling t-shirts. I am still working on the best way to auction items off. Ways to help us: pray for our family in all aspects (spiritually, physically, emotionally), pray for Joelle--that the Lord protects her in all capacities until we can get her, consider supporting us monthly with any amount ($5, $10, $15, $20), encourage people to buy coffee that supports orphanages around the world and gives us some profit towards the adoption as well, buy t-shirts for the family--great family picture-right? URGENT: WE DO HAVE A MATCHING GRANT ON THE TABLE RIGHT NOW FOR 1,000. EVERY DOLLAR IS DOUBLED! IF WE GET THIS, THEN WE CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH THE HOME STUDY.Please email me at 2girlpadgetts@gmail.com for our address or Facebook me. We also have paypal on the new site. Savior, you can move a mountain. My God is mighty to save--save our daughter, Joelle!

Thumbs Up To You . . .

Just last night, I was reading my dear friend's blog: "The fact that anyone would give us that much money is so beyond me. And the fact that God would provide so quickly is beyond me. I've never experienced such a fast answer to prayer. It has been an amazing testimony to my kids who followed the entire series of events and thought it was soooo cool! It just makes me wonder if God is really in this crazy pursuit for a second adoption. You know, sometimes you make a decision to do something and you think, maybe it's God, I don't know for sure. And then He just shows up in such an insane way."

This quote was taken from a kindred spirit who has a heart to adopt a second time as well. I have read her post several times and still come up with the words: Unbelievable . . . However, she brought up a valid point that has been plaguing me: "You know sometimes you make a decision to do something and you think, maybe it's God." Well, last night, I prayed, "Lord, can we have a miracle--a story of our own to share, so that we know that we are in your will?" And then, it happened. Today, we have been blessed with the opportunity of a $500 dollar matching grant challenge that will end on March 19th. How exciting is that! In addition to this, donations are coming in for our auction: Longaberger basket, beautiful pieces of Asian jewelry, handmade bracelets and earrings, crocheted blankets, and a Pampered Chef party challenge is in the works where a percentage will go towards the adoption. Some of the gifts are from people that I haven't seen for years, have only met once, or have just recently developed a relationship with them.

Like Juliese in the picture, I say, "Thumbs Up, Lord! You are worthy to be praised!"

Savior, He Can Move Mountains

Juliese has been singing this song by Hillsong all week long. This is how I feel. We have this huge mountain called finances that is in our way. I know that the Lord can move mountains, I know His love is never failing, and I know He's the Hope for all nations (including China). He is mighty to save. Please Lord, help me to join in and sing this song with Juliese; let the words speak to my soul. Jesus, You conquered the grave, you can conquer this: move that mountain of finances, Lord! Amen.

Savior, He Can Move Mountains

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.

Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.

Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King...Jesus (x2)

My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

My Saviour, you can move the mountains,
You are mighty to save,
You are mighty to save.
Forever, Author of Salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave,
Yes you conquered the grave

Am I adopting because I love Juliese's Tights?

Last night was a discouraging one for me. All of the fears that I felt while adopting Juliese came back into my mind. What if this child will not sleep? What if she does not bond with her siblings? What if there is not enough money to care for her or even adopt her? Have I imagined this entire mission that you gave us? Am I doing this because of the cute striped tights that Juliese loves to wear on Sundays? When I woke up this morning, I prayed, Lord if just one person donates anything then I will know it is your will not mine. Praise God, He answered prayer with my first "heart to help" donation! I never want to stray away from your heart, sweet Jesus. However, Jeff and I are willing to go back to China, raise this money, and teach her your ways Lord. Then, the Lord brought these verses to my mind, "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you (my dear Joelle) not more valuable than they {the birds}? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Matthew 6:26-27

Things to ponder on . . . I have chosen the "bird theme" of our blog due to the tapestry that we bought in China that shows two parent birds flying to rescue their young. Juliese often refers to us as the "birds that saved her"; however, the reality, is the Lord used us as his vessels to rescue her--to be our forever daughter. Will others with "Hearts to Help", be led by the Lord to assist us financially? [Our family is personally blessed each time we plant a financial seed into others who wish to adopt.] I, too, believe that Joelle, along with her sister, will be ambassadors for you, Lord. May many more children find homes and, more importantly, find YOU, Dear Jesus.

Go Into All the World and Preach . . .

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Mark 16:15

Simply amazing . . . today, Juliese gave her heart to the Lord. Juliese has been asking a lot of questions about the Lord and how He kept her safe in China until mom and dad could fly over in a big plane to get her. During the last couple of weeks, she's been asking questions such as why did Jesus die on the cross, and why would He forgive her for the naughty things that she does? Jonah told her that he had to ask the Lord into his heart twice, so that made him a "double Christian"! HA! Anyway, last week, as we were headed to our Chinese New Year festivities, Juliese told me that she wanted to give her heart to the Lord in her house, in her room, with her family. And so, the Jehovah's J's prayed the salvation prayer together as a family and then, we danced in a circle rejoicing that we ALL would be in heaven together someday. Tonight . . . Juliese sung me songs of her salvation that the Lord had placed in her heart. Thank you, Jesus.

God is Willing if We Take the Steps of Faith

The Lord can grow children two ways: one is inside our bodies, and the other is inside our hearts. I have had two sweet boys biologically, Jake and Jonah, and have grown one girl in my heart, Juliese. Now, over the last nine months, the Lord, who is willing, has caused my heart to begin to grow again for a sister for our beloved daughter, Juliese. As of February 10th, my husband and I agreed to walk down the wonderful path of adoption yet again. This path will be different because I am only teaching half time and feel that the Lord wants me to continue to do this. Our financial situation is different and yet when I start to get fearful of how we will pay for this adoption, the words that are now embedded in my heart and soul that define the name of our future daughter Joelle pop into my head every time: Jehovah is God and God is willing.
In the next couple of weeks you will see the following on my blog: books and websites about the different types of adoptions, sites of children who need homes, and a place to make an adoption donation. Remember, God is always willing and He will always be our Jehovah, our God. Lord, please watch over Joelle while we make preparations. We pray that this adventure will be a testimony of your grace, mercy, and will continue to reveal your heart: Jesus loves the little children--all the children of the world--red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His Sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world.
